Are you ready to choose new cabinets and design your new kitchen or bathroom, but don’t where to begin? The following steps will give you tips on how to plan and let you know what to expect:

1. Find Inspiration

Knowing where to start a new home renovation project can often be the most difficult part for some people. We suggest looking online or at magazines to find images to use as inspiration.

As you’re collecting images consider your family’s lifestyle, how much storage you’ll need and the overall style of your home.

2. Take Measure

Once you’ve gathered a nice collection of inspiration images, take measurements and photographs of your existing space.

This will not only make it easier when speaking to a designer, it will also help you decide if your vision matches your space. If not, you can always see if expanding your kitchen or bathroom is an option.

3. Determine Your Budget

Once you have a vision of your dream kitchen or bath, it’s time to look at your budget.

It may seem like this should be the first step. However, it’s not. A designer will be able to help you figure out if there’s a way to make your dream fit your budget.

4. Design Phase

Time for the fun part. Make an appointment with one of our designers to review your project, determine the scope of your project and what your responsibilities will be. You will also receive a rough estimate based off your measurements and budget.

5. Professional Measure

Although you’ve made rough measurements, your designer will do an in-home appointment to complete a professional measure of the space.

6. Design Approval

After everything has been properly measured, an in-office appointment will be made for you and your designer to finalize the details of the design and review the project timeline.

7. Order Materials

Once the design and cabinet specification paperwork has been approved and signed, it’s time to order your new cabinets. At this point a deposit will be collected and you’ll receive design drawings and renderings.

8. Delivery

The cabinets will first be delivered to our warehouse. Your designer will schedule a delivery appointment to your home or job site.

Cabinet delivery times vary depending on manufacturer, material selection and scope of the project.

9. Installation

Typically your cabinet installation will begin promptly after delivery. Any cabinetry that sets on countertops will be installed after the countertops are installed.

10. Celebrate

All of your hard work has finally come together. It’s officially time to celebrate by hosting a party to show off your new space.

When your friends and family are oohing and ahhing over your beautiful new kitchen or bath, tell them you highly recommend French’s Cabinet Gallery.

Making the decision to begin a kitchen or bathroom remodeling project can be a daunting task. We understand. Call us and let one of our designers simplify the process.
